The EBSM® Methodology

EBSM is a complete methodology for Library Stock Performance Improvement.

The methodology comprises of a framework that guides practitioners through a phased journey towards stock performance excellence

Throughout each of the phases, a set of EBSM KPIs are used to drive performance forwards. Locally defined Targets and Parameters are associated with each of the EBSM KPIs, to enable each Library Service to adopt EBSM at at pace that suits it's needs.

An EBSM Toolset is used that creates a comprehensive set of Actions Plans which guide practitioners through the physical stock activities (transfer, swap, refresh, removal etc) required to progress towards targets.

Finally, the methodology suggests a framework for scheduling the toolset, in a sequence that makes the most of existing resources before resorting to purchasing.
