This 1 day introductory training course explores the role that Evidence Based Stock Management (EBSM) plays within a typical library service, and is aimed at Library Professionals who are considering adopting the EBSM methodology.

The course will give delegates a flavour of what EBSM is, how it works, how it benefits a library service and how it can be tailored to meet the specific needs of your library service.

  • How to assess and understand your EBSM starting position
  • Tailoring EBSM to meet the exact needs of your library service
  • Making EBSM part of your day-to-day operation
  • Understanding what EBSM Excellence might look like, and how to get there
  • Solutions and training courses to help simplify EBSM adoption

    • At the end of the course, delegates will have a thorough appreciation of why EBSM plays a vital role in delivering a high quality service to customers, and will also have an understanding of what it takes to implement EBSM within their own library service.

    Delegates will also be able to assess their own service readiness for EBSM adoption, and have the relevant tools and knowledge at their disposal to debate internally the need for, and fit of EBSM within their own library service.

    Where courses are booked to take place at our office in Glasgow, delegates will be required to cover the cost of their own travel (and accommodation if necessary), and we will provide lunch and refreshments.

    For courses that will be delivered on-site at your own office, travel and accommodation costs for our trainer are covered within the course fee, however we kindly request that you provide lunch and refreshments for the delegates and trainer.
